What does a mortgage broker do?

We take the stress out of finding a home loan, by acting as the buffer between the banks and you. Why should I use a mortgage broker instead of going directly to a bank?

Banks only offer their own products. As brokers, we give you access to many different lenders, giving you more choice, better rates, and a solution tailored to your situation that may not be available with a broker. Plus, we guide you through the process from start to finish with a focus on YOUR needs.


Do I have to pay for your service?

In most cases, no. Our service is free because we’re paid by the lender once your loan is settled. If any fees apply, we’ll let you know upfront so there are no surprises.


How much deposit do I need to buy a home?

You don’t always need a 20% deposit. Some lenders accept deposits as low as 5%. In some cases, Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI) may apply. We’ll walk you through your options and help you understand what works best for you.


Can you help if I have a low credit score?

Yes. Having a lower credit score doesn’t mean you can’t get a home loan. We work with lenders who specialise in helping clients with credit challenges.


What documents will I need?

Generally, you’ll need:

  • Proof of ID (driver’s licence or passport)

  • Proof of income (payslips, tax returns, or BAS if self-employed)

  • Bank statements

  • Details of assets, debts, and expenses

We’ll provide you with a personalised checklist so you know exactly what’s needed.


How long does loan approval take?

It depends on the lender and your situation. Conditional approval can take just a few days, while full approval and settlement usually take a few weeks. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way.


Can you help me refinance my current loan?

Absolutely. Refinancing can reduce your repayments, secure a better rate, or give you access to your home’s equity. We’ll compare your current loan against other options and show you if switching makes sense.
